  1. 01Understanding the Creator EconomyThis module unpacks the foundational mechanics of the creator economy -  exploring why it has captured global attention, how it generates significant revenue, and the broader shifts in technology, culture, and industry that have propelled its rapid growth.
  2. 02Content and Business ModelsLearn how creators build thriving businesses - through smart content strategies, diverse revenue streams, and efficient workflows.

    We'll walk you through different formats that drive engagement and earnings, and how these models open new doors for collaboration, innovation, and growth in a shifting media landscape.
  3. 03How to Succeed in the New LandscapeExplore where growth is happening, from new platforms and revenue models to co-productions, licensing, and direct-to-audience formats.

    The session will also provide practical insights on how to evolve existing skills in storytelling, production, and talent development to remain relevant and valuable in this new context.

Program Requirements

In order to apply for the Creator Economy Playbook workshop applicants will need to meet some requirements.

Requirements for attending

  • The Applicant must be a Victorian mid-career to established practitioner, writer, director or producer of traditional media

  • The applicant must be an Australian resident, being a person who is lawfully domiciled in Australia, and who has been in Australia, continuously or intermittently, for at least six months immediately preceding the application

What to expect

The workshop will take place in-person in Melbourne CBD on Wednesday the 27th May 2026.

It will be a full-day experience running from around 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
